Beautiful....

Yesterday’s discussion was about receiving your miracle meant you had to look away from your storm and look onto the One who will empower you to live above the duress of your adversity. The Biblical example was the lame man, in order for him to receive his miracle he had to look beyond his status quo.

 

I have always been fascinated by the fact that the lame man sat at the Temple Gate called Beautiful. Strange name for a gate? According to the dictionary beautiful means;

1. Pleasing the senses or mind aesthetically.
2. Of a very high standard; excellent.
3. handsome – lovely – pretty – fine – fair – nice

But in this verse that is not what is being implied. According to the Strong’s Concordance of the Bible; Beautiful means to flourish at an appointed time. You are this gate, you are Beautiful and you are meant to flourish at this appointed time. Realize the truth about yourself. Get a higher dream, a greater vision for your life.

Don’t downsize your dream, expect more (HOPE). Do you know that fear and faith take the same amount of energy? If that’s the case, why do we always choose fear?  I love acronyms and fear’s acronym is: False Evidence Appearing Real. How can your appointed time arrive if fear is keeping you from flourishing? The gate represents an entrance and an exit. Let God enter in and fear the exit . What is stopping you from flourishing? Make a list of your fears, then find promises in the Word of God that counter each one. The word fear appears in the Bible 365 times, that means there’s verse for everyday of the year. There’s “NO STOPPIN’” you..choose FAITH…LESS WRINKLES…LOL!

My Gate Beautiful

This is my idea of the Gate Beautiful, because even if the world’s chaos seems to be closing in, my God says, “He will give me beauty for my ashes.”  I choose to focus on the cleansing waters of faith rather than the walls of fear. Notice the shepherd staff in the center…”Thy rod and thy staff they comfort me,” Psalms 23:4. That’s my BEAUTIFUL!
